Day Two-Boston

This morning we started out on a walking tour. Our guide, Brian was fantastic! We did the freedom trail and learned so much information from him.

This is Brian….our animated guide
Interesting…
We started at the Commons
You can see here how animated he is. At first it was used as a cattle grazing area
There are several of these statues in the Commons
“Birthplace of Boston Cream Pie and Parker House Roll”

Our plan to take the hop on hop off bus today was squelched, because we would have to wait 40 minutes for a bus. So instead, we took off walking towards our hotel. We went through the biggest Walgreens in the US and shopped around a little bit, picking up a sandwich, peanut butter, and crackers, chips, and drinks that we will enjoy this evening.

This plaque (and others), and another statue, told the story of the the Irish Immigrants after a famine there. It is outside Walgreens
Look what Emily found! A REAL “phone booth!”

Just as we returned to the hotel, it started to rain. God has been so awesome and wonderful to us.

This is the view we have across the street from us. At least it isn’t raining.!

  1. I love all the pictures and, like you, I am especially fascinated with Walgreens! So historic!
