Day One -BOSTON!

Emily, Betty and I were up bright and early, and ready for day one! Our Airport shuttle AKA “Chris”, was on time and reluctantly agreed to snap a photo!

Here we go!!!
This says it all!!!

Sooo we get to the airport, and on the self check in scales, 2 out of 3 bags are over the weight limit! We also noticed that although we booked all 3 of us at the same time, only of us are TSA approved. A kind Spirit agent showed us where to go to see what could be done. No waiting, and Jocelyn weighed all three bags together, and since Betty’s suitcase was under, the fees were waived!! Woo Hoo! She COULD NOT approve Emily for TSA pre check, so she and I (Nancy) went through the “normal” TSA screening. Of course we were all chit chatting the whole time, and as we left, she called us “Charley’s Angels!”

Jocelyn was OUR Angel!!❤️❤️

The regular TSA was VERY efficient, lots of lines were open. As Emily and I were waiting for our Starbucks drinks, she commented You know, we are waiting a LOT longer to get a drink here, than it took to go through TSA!!!

Tried the PINK DRINK… very refreshing! It was first introduced to Emily by granddaughter, Ella.

While we were waiting at our gate, the lady announced that there was a seat up front that was larger and had more leg room for a $45 fee if anyone wanted it, to come to the counter. Since we were sitting right by her, Betty said “if you don’t have any takers and you want to give it to me for free I‘ll take it.” She said you mean you would leave your friends and I said “yes!” Just before boarding began she asked my name and seat assignment and the next thing I knew she was handing me a new boarding pass for Row 2/C!! Well, Betty gifted the seat to Emily, and Nancy had the aisle seat in Row 28, so both ladies with long legs had plenty of leg room! These things are like little kisses from God!!!❤️❤️❤️

We made it!!!

Once we arrived at the hotel and settled in a bit, we took off walking to find Quincy Market.
After a couple of wrong turns and asking a few people for directions, we found it. We all three managed to get something to eat for dinner and picked up some scones and a muffin for tomorrow’s breakfast.
Unfortunately most of the kiosks were closed by the time we finished eating so we headed back to the hotel.  After walking in the wrong direction for a few blocks, we asked directions and found our way back and pretty much crashed!

Looking forward to another day of exploring Boston tomorrow.
