Over the Golden Gate Bridge we go….
After a LONG day of travel, and sitting next to interesting people on the plane, we made it to a welcoming, sunny, San Francisco! Of course it being much later in the day for US than our watch said, an SUV to get used to, San Francisco traffic, listening to GPS directions, construction all along HWY 101, we could not “drink in” all that San Francisco has for us. We think we made the right decision, however, because we got glimpses of what is in store for us when we return the last 4 days of our trip. We got to our hotel in Santa Rosa, made it to an “In and Out” burger joint (fast, polite, clean, inexpensive,non-greasy burger and fries) for a quick, lighter night meal, Walmart , and back to our room, and we CRASHED!!! We both had a wonderful night’s rest, and will now venture the Sonoma/Napa Valley area for a few days. Hopefully, with our “smart phones” we can post as we go today. It is beautiful..right now it is 59 degrees, with a high of 74. Feels good..not too hot for Nancy’s hives, which DO seem to be receding now, PTL!!!
