Tueday, November 21, 2017 TWICE!

This will be a confusing day…as it is Tuesday, November 21st, we will fly all night to LA and when we arrive there, it will still be Tuesday!

Well, we managed to get up and be ready to go by 5:45!  Once we arrived at the airport, we received God’s favor once again!  When we couldn’t check-in at the kiosk, we went to the Qantas desk for “elite” customers by accident and the kind lady said that’s o.k.  Not only did she check us in, when she saw we only had an hour and twenty minutes to catch our plane in Sydney, she put us on an earlier flight so we would not have to rush to make the connection!  She explained that we will have to catch a shuttle bus once we arrive in Sydney to get to the American Airlines gate.  Although our plane left Sydney 30 minutes late, we still managed to go through Customs and make it to our gate with a little time to spare.

We had an uneventful, good flight to LA, arriving around 5:30 a.m.. (See what I mean, left at 5:45 a.m and arrived almost 24 hours later at 5:30 a.m. all on the same day!). Made it through Customs AGAIN, and just as we arrived at the hotel shuttle stop, it was there!  Well, due to the incident previously, when we arrived at the hotel, our “upgrade” was a suite.  It wasn’t ready, so we went to the 16th floor where we had a Continental breakfast.  Our suite on the 16th floor was then ready.  We have a nice big “living room” with a bathroom and a bedroom with a bathroom as well and breakfast in the morning is included, too.  Quite nice!

Needless to say we were tired, so we napped for a few hours, had some lunch, played cards, went to the hot tub, had dinner and crashed!

Will sleep in tomorrow as our plane doesn’t leave until 2:50 p.m.  Good night and God bless!
